His first call to serve was at Luther Preparatory School in Watertown, WI.  He taught at this ministerial training school for three years, teaching English and Music, and coaching girls volleyball and softball.

In 1996 he was called to serve as the Youth and Outreach pastor at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Green Bay, WI.

In 2005, he accepted a Call to serve at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Des Moines, WA.

In November 2015, he accepted the Call extended to him by St. Peter Lutheran in Clovis, CA, and arrived with his family in January 2016.

Pastor Schewe especially enjoys music and worship planning in his ministry.  He plays keyboard, trombone, and some guitar.

In 1998, he married Victoria Hoffman from Phoenix, AZ.  Vicki is a five-year STEP graduate of Martin Luther College, trained to teach high school students.  She served one year at California Lutheran High School before their marriage.  She taught 3-4 grades at St. Paul, Green Bay, and six years at Evergreen Lutheran High School in Des Moines, WA, teaching English, Journalism, Anatomy, and Physical Education.  She also coached girls softball and volleyball.

Both Mark and Vicki enjoy sports of all kinds and continuing to make music for fun and to God's glory.  Vicki plays flute and saxophone.  They have been blessed with five children: Rachel, Emily, Joel, Abigail, and Hannah.

They feel blessed to be coming to serve the Lord and his people at St. Peter, and pray that God blesses their time here!
